Publix Spinach comes in a clear cellophane bag. Examine the spinach to check the freshness of the spinach leafs. If you see any dark ones or wilted looking don't buy that bag of spinach. Check the expiration date of the spinach bag and compare it against the other bags in the cooler at the supermarket. Buy the one with the latest expiration date. Stay away from the bags that look a little "pressurized" as that may be a sign of bad spinach.

Publix Spinach is triple washed and ready to eat. No preparation is necessary. Open the bag, dump the spinach into a bowl and add your seasoning/toppings. That's it.
This is how I eat Publix Spinach. I dump the entire package of spinach into a large bowl, add 1/2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil (60 calories) and a couple of squirts of Balsamic Vinegar (5 calories) and one packet of Equal Artificial Sweetener. After mixing well it's ready to eat. The combination of the Balsamic Vinegar and the Equal gives it a "not to sweet" taste which is delicious. After eating the entire bag of spinach you leave the table feeling full and satisfied. Not bad for around 125 calories.
